Dorothy Lampl Biography

Dorothy Lampl is a representational painter dedicated to the interpretation of light, color, and her vision of reality.  She feels that painting is a very personal and intimate statement of what the artist sees.  Lampl is concerned not only with what the artist sees using the sense of sight but also what emotions they are experiencing as well.

Lampl studied extensively with the late Richard Goetz, a well-known impressionist, still life and landscape painter who taught at the Art Students League in New York City. She Also studied with other recognized artists such as Sergei Bongart.

Lampl is represented by several galleries and many private collections across the country.  Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions including: Pastel Society of West Coast, New Mexico Art League, Wichita Art Association, Kansas Pastel Society, and the New Mexico Art League. She is an annual exhibitor in the Taos Today Show and has been an Invited Exhibitor in the Taos Impressionist Show, and the Goetz Influence Show, Lawton, Oklahoma.
