Fascinated by the color and intensity of light, Tulsa artist, R.C. Morrison’s work involves the interplay of the LED, acrylic plastic and found objects. Morrison’s creations at JRB Arts at The Elms are from two series titled “Lean” and “Broken.” The “Lean” pieces mix two colors emitted by the LED, revealing a third color not found in the LED spectrum. “Broken” deals with confinement, namely broken plate glass in a clear acrylic box lit from below by red and blue LED.  Morrison is a native Oklahoman, and has degrees from Oklahoma State University. Morrison became involved with light emitting diodes (LED) about 5 years ago.
