Since her youth, Sara has had a fascination for imaginative fanciful tales. She began drawing at an early age, and her artistic interests have always focused upon the human figure.  Sara studied at, and in 2004 graduated from, the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. As a student, she studied with some of the most exciting contempo­rary figurative painters.  Following graduation, Sara began her professional career. Her portraits honor classical figurative painting techniques, but have a whimsical narrative that allows the viewer to weave a story around the sitter.  Sara has exhibited in juried competitions across the United States.
