An Oklahoma City native and the fifth woman artist in three consecutive generations, Gina Dowling received her MFA from the University of Oklahoma and established INK DROP PRESS as a studio and teaching facility. Understanding printmaking as an art of layering and unpredictability, Dowling uses a diversity of techniques to combine transparency and form in subtle and strong ways, evoking the sense of shifting perception, depth, and meaning.  Her artistic heritage and life experiences form the core of Dowling’s biographical work.  She has exhibited throughout Oklahoma, including at the State Capitol, and in Texas, New Mexico, and Kansas.
