Beth Hammack

Beth Hammack is an Oklahoma City artist whose work is in several important private and corporate collections. In creating her abstract paintings, she combines a loose graphite drawing style with a layered and sometimes geometric application of color. Beth graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. She has also studied at the Chicago Art Institute and the London City School of Arts. Following graduation, Beth spent her early career as an interior designer and in the 1980’s was the founder and principal designer of a national sterling jewelry line named ZAGAL. She credits her interior design experience as giving her the ability to visualize how her work will relate to and enhance the physical environment in which it is placed.

We want to thank everyone for the outstanding response to our May and June show featuring Beth Hammack. Her exhibition will be closing on Friday, June 26th. We encourage you to call for an appointment, (405) 528-6336, to experience these wonderful works.

Due to the number of inquiries we have received today, we wanted to give everyone another update on our plans for this First Friday.

The First Friday Gallery Walk will not be happening in its usual fashion again this month. However, there are still ways to get involved in everything going on in Paseo, in person or from the comfort of your own home!

JRB Art at The Elms will be virtually presenting Paul Moore's stunning sculptures and Beth Hammack’s beautiful abstract paintings during the month of June on our website. As of now, we are are open by appointment only and ask that everyone wear a mask while in the Gallery. Oklahoma City - Beginning on May 1, 2020, JRB Art at The Elms will host an online art show for Beth Hammack’s 2020 Exhibition, “The Way Things Appear.”  You can view the exhibition online during the months of May and June at www.jrbartgallery.com.  Also, you can schedule an appointment to see Beth’s work at the gallery.

Online Exhibition and Virtual Artist Talk presented online at www.jrbartgallery.com, in conjunction with Paseo Arts Association’s “First Friday from Home.”

As many of you are aware JRB Art at The Elms either hosts demonstrations and/or talks with our featured artists in conjunction with their exhibitions. This year due to health concerns surrounding Covid-19, we moved our Artist Talk with Beth Hammack online.

Since it is Women's History Month, we want to take a moment to celebrate a few of our amazing female artists in the Gallery. We are lucky enough to represent such an array of talented female artists like Janice Mathews-Gordon, Rebecca Wheeler, Gail Rothschild, Beth Hammack, Denise Duong, Behnaz Sohrabian and so many more. So, please admire these great works below and make sure to visit our website to view more pieces by other talented women!

OKLAHOMA CITY – An opening reception will be held for two shows, a solo show featuring abstract painter Beth Hammack and a group show featuring fourteen faculty members from the University of Oklahoma School of Visual Arts (SoVA), from 6-10pm, May 3^rd during the Paseo Arts District’s First Friday Gallery Walk. The exhibitions will be on display until May 31^st.

Layers cover up elements in the mostly abstract acrylics of Beth Hammack and photographed collages of Andy Mattern. Hammack and Mattern are exhibiting work at JRB Art at The Elms, 2810 N Walker, along with three landscape artists.
